Royal Oak has some of the nicest and most desirable homes on Staten Island. It lies on the bottom of Todt Hill and many of the stately cottages and tudor style homes were built “prior to the creation of the bridge in 1964” leaving the area with a resonance of history. It is only minutes away from Royal Oak Park, which offers trails for walking, riding bikes and even has a small Baseball Field. Royal Oak offers an ambient surrounding during the fall when the colors of the leaves are changing. The area is known by Islanders as Royal Oak, but is documented as Castleton Corners. Some of the more notable schools in the area are P.S. 29, Saint Theresa and Saint John’s Lutheran. It is in close proximity to Victory Boulevard which has many retail shops and businesses. Royal Oak is a delightful place to call home.
