Back in 2012, Hurricane Sandy tore through the tri-state area, creating massive property damage in its wake. One of the prominent transportation hubs effected was the South Ferry subway station, which ended up flooded and in disrepair.

Well this June, the South Ferry station is set to reopen after a lengthy $343 million dollar renovation project that will finally allow Staten Islanders to easily deal with the final portion of their city-inbound commute instead of having to have used alternate subway routes after getting off the ferry in Manhattan the past few years.
