Every year for the past seven years, Staten Island plays home to the annual Lumen Festival. This year was no different and this one was the biggest one to date. The earliest predictions for festival attendance landed around 2,500 attendees but as the event started to unfold, the numbers grew to almost double that, hitting a record breaking 4,000 people.

The Lumen Festival is held every year at the Atlantic Salt Company and hosts both up and coming and established artists from around the City of New York, as well as artists from countries around the world. This year saw the Lumen Festival’s seventh incarnation and it doesn’t seem to show any sign of stopping. If you missed next year, don’t

Everyone loves to watch movies but nobody loves paying for them. If you’re looking for a Staten Island adventure that involves watching free movies outside under the stars then look no further. Grab a blanket to lie on and a bag to stuff with snacks (but don’t forget the snacks!) and head down to one of, or all of, these free summer movies!

People used to have to travel all the way to London to enjoy a ride on, The London Eye, a huge Observation Wheel. They will soon have to travel no more. The New York Wheel is coming to Staten Island’s own St. George, which will give tourists and locals alike the opportunity to see the Manhattan skyline in a way they might have never seen it before. Construction, which began in May of 2015, is targeted to finish in first quarter of 2018 and will bring new life to what most people call the forgotten borough.

After taking a ride on the famed Staten Island Ferry, visitors can stick around and go shopping on the soon to open (November 2017) Empire Outlets, which will house popular stores like H&M, Banana Republic, The Gap, and so much more. Tourists

If you’re like most people, you prefer to stay indoors while it’s raining, pouring, and thunder-storming outside. Once you’re in, you probably just prefer to stay that way. If I’m describing you, then you probably missed out on the wondrous rainbow that graced Staten Island with its presence. Staten Island is no stranger to rainbows but, this one in particular was most definitely a sight to see.

If you, like I did, missed the rainbow then you’re in luck. YouTuber, Dlindeman, took a great video documenting the rainbow for everyone to see. The video is only around half a minute long, but it’s worth it to see the colors stretch across the entire sky!

If you’re like me and you enjoy watching a multitude of movies and television then you might also enjoy scouring the Internet for interesting facts and trivia about whatever you’re watching. Looper, a fun YouTube channel, has dedicated itself to becoming one of the leading forces in bringing you just that.

Earlier today, a video titled “The Untold Truth of Impractical Jokers” has hit the web and it’s a fun five-minute long video containing eight fun-filled facts you might not have already known about the Impractical Jokers. The Jokers, also known as The Tenderloins, are a Staten Island comedy group that took their comedy to another level. Their truTV television show just finished off its fifth season and is revving up to go into it’s sixth.
